A hand crafted wooden boomerang made by a boomerang craftsman is a special gift. You can see the work put into carving the airfoil and shaping the boomerang by hand, often with terrific paint decoration. These are works of art as much as working boomerangs, with some having collectible value over time. Some historic boomerangs have been purchased for $1000 or more after a craftsman has died.
